For a while the majority of the projects I’ve worked on have been based on the web. This meant I became familiar with Content Management Systems, Service Level Agreements and writing copy with SEO in mind. There is an immediacy about publishing web content that I feel I may have taken for granted.
During my post at The Marketing Café I learned a great deal about print publishing. The agency produces magazines, newspaper adverts and brochures on a weekly basis and as such must perform to strict requirements. I became aware of appropriate design formats, timescales and printer deadlines, managing several advertisements during my short stay.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with print publishers and appreciate the importance of accuracy and time management. I hope to apply this knowledge to future projects.
