I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been given the opportunity {and developed the nerve} to go freelance full time. This marks a new rather grown-up phase in my career and as a result I’m now in charge of numbers, receipts and other complicated things like that.

Andrea Gardner of Purplefeather and former Content Services Manager from Hilton Hotels Group has contracted me to write for her latest client. At the same time I’m embarking upon a collaborative web project, Folio14: an online compendium of creative talent in Scotland.

This meant I had to seriously reconsider my responsibilities and after a weekend of making pro/con lists and chewing the ear off anyone who’d listen, I came to the decision and handed my notice in as Account Executive for Mine Digital. This position taught me a wealth of information on client handling and project pitching, which I now hope to take to Folio14.

By ending two freelance contracts and resigning from the agency I’m leaping into the world of self employment. If you’d like to cross your fingers for me it’d be much appreciated. You can find me over @Folio14 come and say hello.
