typingAs I close one door a new exciting one opens up with the rather fantastic team at PoLR. Over the next few weeks I will be providing web content for their latest client. Having met Designer Lynne Foster first on Twitter then at this year’s Twestival I feel I should tip the cap in social media’s direction. My thanks go to both her and Ryan Carlton for this opportunity.

mc-logoEarlier this week I was contacted by Ian Palmer, Director of The Marketing Café. Our paths first crossed when I applied to work for his company a year ago, we met again when the company moved to Spiersbridge Business Park in March- just as I was leaving Mine Digital.

He vowed to stay in touch should any copywriting work arise and remained true to his word. I shall be working in-house with the team for a couple of weeks from Monday the 14th. I am looking forward to meeting Account Manager Meg this Friday to go over the details.

The Scottish Hosteller PSP Publishing have now released the Spring/ Summer edition of the SYHA magazine. Having written the article back in October this has been my longest wait for an item to go to print- and I was delighted when my copy came through the post.
I enjoyed getting involved and was really impressed by the accompanying images. I’d like to thank the Editor Amy Wellens for the opportunity. The Set Jetters Guide to Scotland can be found on page 35, an online issue is available here.

This magazine, sponsored by the SYHA (Scottish Youth Hostel Association) celebrates the best in Scottish travel and tourism. My article will appear in the Spring/Summer edition issued by PSP Publishing. New Editor-in-Chief Amy Wellens was a good communicator and provided great feedback on the project. A small writer’s bio with mugshot has been submitted to page three.

New Year, New Projects

Topic: News| No Comments »

gkerstingladybywindowwritingI find the beginning of the year to be an exciting time full of possibilities. I always make a list of things I’d like to achieve by the time the bells ring in at hogmanay. Travel, work and meeting new people are important to me. In truth, work takes up a lot of space on the list. I usually hope for new projects and so far I have been fortunate. I realise that in order to secure new work I need to free up my time, therefore after a year and a half with Cinema Without Borders I resigned from my role as Blog Editor. I have enjoyed writing articles on film, creating press releases and having an active voice in the CWB community. My thanks go to Editor Bijan Tehrani for the opportunity.
